Visomat inc./Errorsmith/Telematique (D) Installazione/Live In anteprima per l'Italia, il nuovo progetto di Visomat inc. Halbzeug-Surface Refinement, è un' installazione costruita a partire da superfici di proiezione tridimensionali di styrofoam - polistirene espanso estruso - che verrà inaugurata all'interno di Netmage con il live degli Errorsmith. Visomat è un team nato nella metà degli anni '90 nel fertile clima di ricerca berlinese, sull'incrocio tra media-art e club-culture. Dalle prime forme di Vj-ing ai visuals, Visomat hanno creato un vero e proprio contrappunto visivo per l' elettronica minimalista di quegli anni. In seguito si impegnano nell'ideazione e relizzazione di una serie di progetti a cavallo tra installazione e interior design, ambienti funzionali, come l'ormai celebre Automaten, curioso concept-media-room costruito in un ex-negozio di Mitte, o il WVF club. Progetti-piattaforma che hanno permesso a molti artisti video e ad altri team, di sperimentare sul live-media, contribuendo alla formazione di quella amplissima scena mixedmediale che contraddistingue il vivace panorama artistico berlinese. Altro output realizzato, è il DIN AV un forum dedicato al confronto tra audio e video, che ha portato alla recente pubblicazione di DIN AV 04/01/CN/86.03, un DVD che raccoglie 6 progetti creati a partire dalle collaborazioni nate nel forum. Il lavoro artistico dei Visomat si concentra negli ultimi anni sulla progettazione di ambienti expanded-media. Fra i progetti attualmente in corso vi è lo spazio ideato per M12 in Alexanderplatz, e Halbzeug - Surface Refinement, il progress tra installazione audio-video e live, nato dalla collaborazione con gli Errorsmith, e i Telematique, presentato a Netmage 08. Anche loro protagonisti da una decina d'anni della scena berlinese, gli Errosmith sono produttori di musica sperimentale e post-club e a loro volta coinvolti in ulteriori collaborazioni (MMM, Smith n Hack); i Telematique sono artisti sperimentali attivi sullo sviluppo del rapporto tra immagine e supporto architettonico. Installation/Live Halbzeug-Surface Refinement, the new project of Visomat inc., is an installation put together from 3D projection surfaces of styrofoam - expanded extruded polystyrene - presented for the first time outside Berlin at Netmage with a live set of Errorsmith. Visomat is a team born in the mid '90s in the fertile climate of research of Berlin, between media-art and club-culture. From the first forms of Vj-ing, up until the creation of visuals, they worked on a real visual counterpart to the minimal electronic production of those years. They keep conceiving and making a series of projects intersecting installation and interior design, functional environments like the now famous Automaten, a curious concept-media-room built in a former shop in Mitte, or the WVF club. Platform-projects which allowed many video artists and other teams to experiment on live-media, contributing to the formation of that wide mixed media scene typical to the Berlin artistic scene. Another output they made is the DIN AV, a forum devoted to the comparison between audio and video, which led to the recent publication of DIN AV 04/01/CN/86.03, a DVD collecting 6 projects which came to being from the collaborations on the forum. Visomat's artistic practice has been focusing in the last period on the creation of expanded-media environments. Among the projects they are working on there is the space conceived for M12 in Alexanderplatz, and Halbzeug - Surface Refinement, the progress between audio-visual installation and a live act, born from the collaboration with Errorsmith, and Telematique, presented at Netmage 08.
